Digital pianos and keyboards

We sell a carefully-chosen range of instruments by Yamaha and Casio.  We understand the endless debates that go on about digital vs acoustic instruments,  and we’re always happy to discuss what’s best for your own circumstances – budget, practicality, aesthetics, and all the irrational stuff like emotional attachment – because that really matters!    And because we’re not working for a commission,  we’ll never push one particular model or brand at you.  And best of all,  you can try out “real” pianos and digitals side by side.

Digital pianos start at just the wrong side of £300 for a portable instrument, which will still have a fully weighted and graded keyboard, and are ideal as practice instruments in bedrooms or small flats.  As you work up the model ranges,  higher-end instruments come in beatifully-finished cabinets,  with rich responsive sounds – the new Yamaha CLP545 for example has piano voices sampled from both a Yamaha CFX grand and a Bosendorfer Imperial grand.

And if you’re just after a fun instrument for learning to pick out notes, or experimenting with creative music making,  then we have a range of keyboards starting at under £80.
